If you are like me who still play the old Warcraft 3, you too would have probably encountered the error “unable to join the specified game” when trying to join to a lan game, dota perhaps or any other warcraft map. You too probably know the fix and won’t be needing this tutorial but for those who haven’t, here it is.

This error is usually due to the firewall restricting network access to the application. In order to allow warcraft 3 reign of chaos or the frozen throne to be added to the allow list of applications on your firewall, you will need to add them manually via the windows firewall or your anti-virus firewall if any. although, there is also an automatic add dialog box that will prompt you if you wish to add the application currently running into the firewall and if you opted not add the application or maybe closed the dialog box, you can still add the application to your firewall by doing the following steps below.

The process is so straight forward anyone with a few windows background can easily do this, in any case i have also added the video below just to illustrate the fix more clearly.

Fix the error
There are several methods to add the warcraft executable file into the firewall but i will what i find the most easiest for me, yours might be different so no bashing.

1. open search from the start menu and enter the phrase “firewall” (without the quotes). For Windows 7 and 8 they both have search from the Start. In Windows 8, search under Settings.

2. When the dialog box is open, click on the “Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall” option. It should be located at the left sidebar.

3. Click on the button Change Settings. This will allow you to add more applications into the list. Note that you will need administrator access.

4. Scroll to the list below the alphabetical list of applications that begins with “w”. If Warcraft 3, Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos and Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne is already on the list but the checkbox beside it is not checked then add a check on it. If the apps above are not listed, click on the button “Allow another app..” and select from the list of available applications, if you just copied your install chances are its not listed so you will need to browse where you put it. And then click “Add“.

5. Add both the Warcraft 3 and its expansion The Frozen Throne to the list. Be sure the checkboxes before its name and on the Private column is checked. After adding the apps, they should have the check mark at the Private column of the table otherwise add a tick to the checkbox to enable it.

7. Click OK and run Warcraft 3, you should now be able to join to any network or lan game.

It is important to know that both you and the game host must do the steps above for this to work smoothly.

Advancements in technology have made it possible for business and home owners accomplish feats that our ancestors could only dream about. Back in the day, the security issue was addressed by hiring guards and this has since changed. In as much as guards are still hired today, security or surveillance cameras supplement the guards leading to more effective performance. Due to this reason, there exist a number of firms that offer these cameras in Arizona and each of them has its own strong points. The person looking to install these cameras needs to know what to look for in security cameras Phoenix firm in order to end up hiring the best. This article will discuss the features that the cameras provided should have.

The best cameras should have a wide scope of coverage
It is very important to install cameras that will have a wide scope of coverage. The reason behind this is that the area to be monitored needs to be fully covered in order to ensure that every movement is observed. It is very easy to find cameras that will cover a very small angle and these should be avoided since they have to be installed in large numbers to cover a small area. There are security cameras that rotate at an angle and this means that they will cover a large area as they rotate. For this reason, the firm to be hired to provide the services should be able to provide such cameras to reduce the costs of installation and maintenance.

The best cameras should be able to resist the elements
Contrary to what people think, these cameras are also installed on the exterior of the building and these means that they will be exposed to the various weather elements. Since the cameras need to be working on a 24 hour basis, the best firm should be able to provide cameras that will resist and remain functional regardless of the weather in Phoenix. This means that such a firm needs to have studied the weather conditions of the area and invested in surveillance equipment that will not be damaged by the weather elements all year round. On the same note, the performance of the equipment should not be affected by the same as well.

The best cameras should be very sensitive
As mentioned above, advancements in technology make it very easy to get the latest of equipment. The best security cameras Phoenix firm should be able to have a varied range of cameras based on their sensitivity. The reason for this is that there are areas that may be very sensitive and access to them is very limited. The cameras installed herein should be motion sensitive to make sure that no access goes unnoticed. This way, it becomes very easy to monitor the activities in the area with minimum effort. For this reason, a person should for the firm that offers highly sensitive cameras for maximum security.

The best cameras have additional services
Depending on the sensitivity of the area to be monitored, there are cameras that have additional functions. For instance, there are cameras that trip an alarm in the event that a particular room is accessed wrongfully. These cameras are very helpful in the event that a person who is not authorized to access a particular room does so. In most cases, they are programmed to know who is allowed access and who is not and hence anytime there is unauthorized entry, they sound the alarm which helps the security team respond.

There is so much that can be said about the features that should be present in the cameras offered by the best surveillance firm in Arizona but the above are the most critical. Once a firm has met them, all that remains is to look and negotiate at the cost of both purchase and installation. Most people make the mistake of making the price the most important factor but it is not. The wise thing to do is to determine the needs that the security cameras have to meet and then look for a system that falls within the set budget. Going for the cheapest security cameras Phoenix firm would be a mistake as the firm could be dealing with low quality equipment.

If you’ve enjoyed all the exciting information you read here about Security Cameras Phoenix, you’ll love everything else you find here.

I like how i can embed google maps into my sites but the callout keeps on obstructing other portions of the map. This is not very good to look at especially if the map size is too small. Here’s an example of a map with the callout blocking the other portions of the map.

View Larger Map

Here is the embed code of the map above:

<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="https://maps.google.com/maps?source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;aq=0&amp;oq=cazi&amp;sll=8.474468,124.683087&amp;sspn=0.003709,0.006539&amp;t=h&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;hnear=Cagayan+de+Oro,+Misamis+Oriental,+Northern+Mindanao,+Philippines&amp;ll=8.474813,124.682894&amp;spn=0.003714,0.00456&amp;z=17&amp;iwloc=A&amp;output=embed">
</iframe>
<br />
<small>
<a href="https://maps.google.com/maps?source=embed&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;aq=0&amp;oq=cazi&amp;sll=8.474468,124.683087&amp;sspn=0.003709,0.006539&amp;t=h&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;hnear=Cagayan+de+Oro,+Misamis+Oriental,+Northern+Mindanao,+Philippines&amp;ll=8.474813,124.682894&amp;spn=0.003714,0.00456&amp;z=17&amp;iwloc=A" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a>
</small>

In order to remove the callout we need to modify a portion of the embed code specifically the ones on line 1 above at the href attribute in the iframe tag. Take a look at the GET Query string containing iwloc=A. We need to change it to something else not listed into the map. Since our pin is marked A, we need to change it something that will never be shown into the map, a number perhaps or a string. Like everybody else, I would change it to the string false. So it kind of makes sense, false meaning do not show the callout, although it still won’t show with true assigned but that’s not the point.

The new code will now become iwloc=false. Modifying our code we get the new embed code as:

<iframe width="425" height="350" frameborder="0" scrolling="no" marginheight="0" marginwidth="0" src="https://maps.google.com/maps?source=s_q&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;aq=0&amp;oq=cazi&amp;sll=8.474468,124.683087&amp;sspn=0.003709,0.006539&amp;t=h&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;hnear=Cagayan+de+Oro,+Misamis+Oriental,+Northern+Mindanao,+Philippines&amp;ll=8.474813,124.682894&amp;spn=0.003714,0.00456&amp;z=17&amp;iwloc=false&amp;output=embed">
</iframe>
<br />
<small>
<a href="https://maps.google.com/maps?source=embed&amp;hl=en&amp;geocode=&amp;q=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;aq=0&amp;oq=cazi&amp;sll=8.474468,124.683087&amp;sspn=0.003709,0.006539&amp;t=h&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;hq=CazimiWeb,+Diamond+Street,+Sts.,,&amp;hnear=Cagayan+de+Oro,+Misamis+Oriental,+Northern+Mindanao,+Philippines&amp;ll=8.474813,124.682894&amp;spn=0.003714,0.00456&amp;z=17&amp;iwloc=false" style="color:#0000FF;text-align:left">View Larger Map</a>
</small>

And the new map to be:

View Larger Map

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. With the patch 1.0.7, a dueling system has been added. Unlike the most online games i have played, winning and losing in the PvP areas will do nothing. No deaths, loot, stat change, rewards or even the usual fame points that most games have. While it satisfies our need to duel, i consider it to be lame. But still it is better than nothing, others might already be happy with this update just to beat each other up.

You may access the PvP Arena by speaking to Nek the Brawler at the following locations:

Inn in New Tristram

Leah’s tent at the Hidden Camp

After that he will then transport you including your team at the Scorched Chapel which is composed of the following areas namely: the church, the graveyard, the river, and the lake. Each team can be at maximum of four players and no death penalty even to hardcore players. All races will have a 30% damage reduction, except the warriors with 35% damage reduction.

While it is the most noticeable feature in the patch, Blizzard also made the Monster Power difficulty to Public games. Allowing us to leach our low level characters with our high level friends. I personally liked this as the experience were raised significantly as the difficulty increases. take a loo at the table below for the new experience table:

The experience bonus rewarded for killing monsters on Monster Power levels 1-10 in Inferno has been increased:
MP 1: 25% (up from 10%)
MP 2: 50% (up from 20%)
MP 3: 80% (up from 30%)
MP 4: 120%(up from 45%)
MP 5: 165% (up from 60%)
MP 6: 215% (up from 75%)
MP 7: 275% (up from 95%)
MP 8: 340% (up from 115%)
MP 9: 420% (up from 135%
MP 10: 510% (up from 160%)

Despite the delay, i am very happy with this update and will probably invite my friends back to party with me.

As much as software maintenance for your computer is important, it is not enough because hardware maintenance is also required. Taking steps in ensuring that your computer hardware is properly protected from dust, a common computer killer, can save you some hard earned cash in multiple replacements.

Your computer’s interior components therefore need protection from overheating which can be fatal. The fan ensures adequate airflow to enable the computer to stay cool and avoid overheating. However, as much as the fan keeps the computer cool, it can also be lethal for your computer when dust finds its way inside. This inspires a great need for a dust filter for computers to prevent this from happening. Outlined below are some of the effects of dust on your computer.

Overheating Effects as a result of Dust

Fans have been known to effectively transmit dust particles through your desktop computer. As they hum, they cause airflow which carries the dust particles to all the crucial parts of your computer. If you don’t blow the dust from your computer often, it can build up on all the vital interior components of your computer. These vital components will therefore run hotter than they should because the dust will have clogged, therefore inhibiting proper function which as a result leads to overheating.

Overheating might also cause abrupt automatic shutdowns for your computer especially in the middle of important work. These impromptu shutdowns may cause hard drive malfunction and major data loss. The computer might not start until it cools down adequately.

Loud uncomfortable noise

Due to dust clogging the fan, the computer might produce this sound from the fan which might be uncomfortable and irritating especially when you are trying hard to concentrate on working and meeting that deadline.

Poor Performance

Since dust has found a home in your computer, it will slow down major functioning systems despite your prompt software update. You will notice that your computer takes forever to load programs after booting or when you want to start a particular application. Also, simple functions such as saving your work after completion might also take forever. Using a slow functioning computer can be quite an unpleasant experience especially if you are in a hurry.

Why a dust filter for computers?

After the above explanations on effects of dust on your computer it is only proper to invest in some dust filters in order to protect your precious desktop. Protecting your computer will not only save you from having to replace your computer but it will also save you from paying a maintenance fee to someone to get rid of the dust; it will indeed save you precious time in having to do it yourself if you have to.

Prevention is better that cure might sound like a cliché but it sure does make sense when it comes to protecting your computer from factors that can destroy it. You will only concentrate majorly on software maintenance. There is indeed great satisfaction in having an efficiently running desktop computer that doesn’t shut down unexpectedly because of dust.

I am using Dell Inspiron 17R N7110 that came preinstalled with Windows 7. The laptop came with a software that allows me to share my internet connection as a wifi hotspot. neat little app, allows me to connect to the internet on phone even when the place only has a wired connection.

Unfortunately, when i upgraded to Windows 8, the software was no longer there. I called Dell Tech Support as it still was covered with its 1 year warranty. The first tech support obviously from India, told me to call Microsoft as I opted for a Windows update. So, i called Microsoft, then, after an hour on hold, transfer between agents, on hold again, my line got disconnected. I never bothered calling again and go to the same tedious process. I decided to call Dell again and this time i did not mention that I upgraded my laptop.

I was lucky i got a better Indian tech support agent and fixed one of my problem with the keyboard, but told me that the warranty I had was only for hardware, software was not covered and i have to pay $120+. I said to myself, WTF(hardware only?) this is a new laptop. i said to him, I know this is just easy, can you just point me where the software is and ill download it myself. Then, he hanged up, bummer, I started thinking maybe Dell’s warranty is a rip off.

Well, i was thinking, i can do the same with netsh, although the Dell software is a lot better as i can see the people who have connected. I have no choice but to setup netsh manually.

To make it easier, I added a command prompt to your Start Apps by clicking the Search at right side menu panel then right clicking on Command Prompt then add to Start. I do this because is use the command prompt most of the time when troubleshooting some servers that i work. So, its handy that its located at the Start screen.

You can also go ahead and click the run as administrator icon without adding it to the Start screen, works the same way as long as the command prompt was launched with an elevated security account. See the image below after the right-click to the command prompt.

To create your own virtual wifi, copy and paste the following to your admin command prompt.

netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=N7110 key=password

Then, the following commands right after:

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Of course you will have to change your SSID so it won’t be the same as mine and the key too.

You may check if the virtual network was successfully created by issuing the command:

netsh wlan show hostednetwork

See the image below for the actual commands onscreen

At this point you should see an new connection at Networks and Sharing Center under the Control Panel.

And here is the screenshot from my iphone:

netsh is intended for use by advanced users. although help is available by issuing the command:

netsh wlan /?

I have listed some of the other wlan combinations below:

Command

Description

netsh wlan start hostednetwork

Start the wireless Hosted Network.

netsh wlan stop hostednetwork

Stop the wireless Hosted Network.

netsh wlan set hostednetwork [mode=]allow|disallow

The 2012 Olympics in London will commence as from 27th of July to 12th August 2012, and then there after will be Paralympics games later in the month of August and September. These Olympic games are going to take place in different venues in London, both in and out of the city.

This historic event will be funded by famous organisations in London e.g the organising committee of Olympic games in London, delivery authority in London, private sectors etc.

The Olympic stadium, with a capacity of 80,000, will be the main venue for this event as from the start to the end ceremony. Everybody who is eligible is allowed to attend this big event, and for one to attend, a ticket is needed, and to have a ticket there are several things that have to be taken into account, that is; the procedure, instructions and even the warnings.

To buy a ticket you first need to request an application form from the official website. Then after getting the form you need to fill the necessary information including the choice of the events you want to see, in order of preference, from the available twenty six Olympic sports. You need also to specify the dates of the events and the venues. So before you apply for a ticket, check where the event you want to view is taking place at what time since the events will be divided into similar sessions.

The prices of tickets vary according to the sport, venue and session. And remember there are tickets for young people and adults alike. Apply as latest as the midnight on 26th April 2011 since there will be tickets to that deadline and you can pay for your ticket using postal orders, cheque or visa cards and no other cards will be accepted from this ones. In the tickets comment whether you are determined to see any event no matter how far you are to see the action. This might reduce the price of your ticket.

The official London Olympic website provides detailed for who is eligible so please check first. For example it as only from the UK and European countries apply using a single official site, apart from that everyone is required to apply from their respective national Olympics committee

The applications for the Olympic games will start on 9th September 2011. And it is important to note that, don’t attempt to buy a ticket from unauthorised sources. Make sure that you have a reserved room or accommodation for yourself in London if you are from a different. Also make sure that this accommodation is near the motioned stadiums since travelling from one place to another might be hectic. And can make one fail from attending the event

There are still limited hotel rooms for the olympics at outlet4holidays.com for your holidays in London.

Google is catching up with the storage wars with latest attempt at launching Google Drive. To differentiate its service from the rest of the pack they are integrating their storage service with its current products, namely the Google Docs, Gmail and Picasa wherein they share storage spaces. Google Drive is currently priced at $2.49 per month with 25GB of storage. On top of that, current applications get a storage upgrade: with Gmail now at 10GB quota and 5GB on Google drive with free accounts.

See a comparison of the features of the current products on storage applications.

Except for the new interface at https://drive.google.com nothing is changed really, you will see the same layout on your Gmail, Docs and Picasa Accounts. the only difference is that you get extra space of additional 3GB on Gmail and 5GB on Drive. A new storage plan is introduced with an increase in the free Gmail quota at 10GB from the previous 7GB space. If you were like me who signed up for Google storage plan before April 24, 2012 then you will notice that the old pricing scheme has been replaced with a new structure and you are no longer able to upgrade to the old plans. Here is a rundown of the old compared to the new pricing schemes.

Old storage plans

Free storage:

7+ GB in Gmail

1 GB in Google Docs (uploaded files only)

4 TB – $1024

8 TB – $2048

16 TB – $4096

New storage plans

Free storage:

10 GB in Gmail

5 GB in Google Drive

1 GB in Picasa

Unlimited in Google+

Pricing Structure:

25 GB – $2.49

100 GB – $4.99

200 GB – $9.99

400 GB – $19.99

1 TB – $49.99

2 TB – $99.99

4 TB – $199.99

8 TB – $399.99

16 TB – $799.99

As you can see there is an obvious increase in storage prices from the old storage plans, so better don’t let your current storage expire or change plans by downgrading or upgrading. You can upgrade your current plans and subscribe to Google Drive by logging to your Google account as currently Google Drive does not allow subscription from its URL at https://drive.google.com

I’ve been trying out this new phone for weeks now. So far, it’s enough for my needs and i basically just need it for calling, not so much of a requirement as all cellphones allows us to call. It’s a good phone considering it has a 1GHz for its processor which is more than enough for the current applications installed in it and its capacitive touch screen is fast enough that would make you enjoy playing touch phone game apps. The only big drawback is that it does not have GPS capability, on top of that it has no WiFi, most of you will probably have to make a pass on this one those two missing features. The only reason why i have this phone is that its free with my wife’s loyalty phone plan at Globe.

Complains? so why use it? Despite the drawbacks, it is still a good phone considering that its comes preloaded with Angry Birds, although its just a trial version you can buy the full product at OVI for less than $0.50 not so expensive as compared to the Android or iStore counterparts. I was also able to load my old apps from my N3300 music phone. Since Asha 300 is a Series 40 phone, therefore all my .jar files will now run with a more bigger screen size at 240 x 320 pixels. I have also loaded a bunch of my audio books 3GB in total and a couple of my favorite MP3s, it can handle up to 32GB of micro-USB memory, but i think you can still add more than that. i just wish there was a lastfm app out there so i could link my played tracks to my account. With its builtin Bluetooth support i can enjoy hours of music with this phone. I haven’t tested its video and camera capabilities, although, taking pictures are a bit blurry in dimly lit areas.

Since it has no builtin Wifi, i was forced to subscribe to Globe’s data rates at Php5 per 15 minutes, later i found out that i can also subscribe for the 50MB a month data plan for PhP99. Yes, you guessed it, its too small for a bandwidth but surprisingly I was able to download a couple of apps and games from the Nokia OVI store. As far as i can recall they were QR Code reader, Angry Birds Full, Opera Browser were a few. Its not a bad service after all. Now, a am experiementing on making a PAN network with my PC acting as a bridge to my phone so i can have a free internet connection but no luck so far.
