Go Zip Line at Eden Nature Park in Davao

Sky Rider! That's what they call it.

When i first tried it, i must admit it's kinda scary. I mean, you can see tall pine trees below you and all the people as tiny as ants as you make your way across. If you'll try to shout, you will find yourself running out of voice for the distance between the two towers is i think equivalent to 200 meters long.

The Sky Rider! zip line is situated outside the Eden Nature Park opposite of the main gate just beside the soccer field. It has two 60 foot tower facing each other with two suspension cables mounted on the top of each tower going to the other.

Each ride costs PhP150, that is a ride from one tower to the other and back. Each ride is an approximately 20 seconds of heart pounding and a breath taking adventure. For safety reasons, you will be equipped with a helmet and a set of body straps that is then attached to the cable. As you make your way down going to the other side of the tower, you will hear the rolling and the ripping sound of the cable as you move along the line.

For a more enjoyable ride, try not to close your eyes. If you can stretch your arms wide, then do it. Just try not to touch the cables.

I've been here for a while now. Here's a list of places to play badminton in davao. I'd really like to play here but i don't know where is the best place for me. I'm here staying at somewhere at Guerrero Street, but my location does not matter as long as the courts are good to play. I also hate to wait, and i really do not know how many courts does these list below have.

Ready, Set, Go !!!

It was indeed an awesome experience with go-karting; you could fell the rush and the excitement combined. it was my first time to drive on a real life high speed machine?, toy? kart? ahh, well just call it Kart. Although, i had my 2 year experience with Need For Speed but its different with the real ones, had some nice drift moves out there. We had 8 laps of hardcore racing, during that time i felt like i was Michael Schumacher, but only with different outfit. Unlike with the other competition, the race was started with a mere GO shout, no sexy ladies waving sign numbers.

New Table Tennis Rules?

It's been a long time since I last played table tennis, to be specific, eleven years. That was after I graduated from high school. Back then, I was a varsity player of our school. I started in this playing when I was still 14 years old.I became interested because it is played indoors, and it will not darken my skin color.

So, I asked my friend, Annabelle, on how to play table tennis. Then taught me how to hold the racket, how to control my movements and etc... She brought me to their place in Carmen, Cagayan de Oro everyday for that special training and later on I was introduced to many good players of this event. When they found out how interested I am to know, each one of them taught me with the different strokes namely: the backhand, forehand, spin, chop, drive etc. Then I learned!

I was taught about the rules of this game by our school coach. I reserved a special place in my brain in which I can't forget everything I learned about table tennis.

I was surprised when I watched the game during my alma matter intramurals days ago. The scoring system and the service system has changed. What i had learned is that a player should have a score of 21 in order to win or at least more than 2 scores than the other player and each player is entitled to have five services before the service will change. Here are the new rules of table tennis.

For me determination, discipline, desire does not count. All you need is a camera, agility and the timing. When the picture taking comes, all you need to do is run and smile like you are part of the team!! and then post your winning moment on your blog and thats it.

Anyway, i took three straight strikes with three spares but still my score was just over a hundred and fifty and the ball is so heavy. You could feel your arms dropping as you swing it. Well, i would still stick to the saying "Better luck next time".

PBA Alaska vs Talk n' Text at Cagayan de Oro

Not a basketball fanatics really but hey Alaska vs Talk n' Text will be playing here in Cagayan de Oro. Do not know which gymnasium they will be playing; might be at Xavier University or at the Mindanao Polytechnic State College. If you have tickets i'd be willing to watch with you. :) They say Simpkins from Michigan State Wolverine will be playing first with Alaska today.
